They provide nurturing to mind body and soul. Each sip is a journey into nature’s bounty, crafted with love and intention to promote well-being and mindfulness.
Modestine believes in the power of nature to heal and restore balance- one cup of organic wellness tea at a time.
My path to law school was intricately paved by my father. So how did I end up here, on this journey steeping my way through the magic of rituals, plant medicine and ancestral healing? In hindsight, it is clear that our Matriarch, Grandma Modestine, had other plans for my life.
The effects of perimenopause began to debilitate my life. While doctors continued to dismiss my concerns to, “It’s all in your head”, frozen shoulder, insomnia, night sweats, hot flashes, chronic digestive issues and rapid weight gain continued to wreak havoc to my days.
Little did I know that when I set out to take control of my journey that my quest to feel better would lead me right back to the medicine of my ancestors.
Meet the founder
I believe in the life-affirming, transformative power of traditional healing drumming, women’s circles, sacred ceremony, ritual, tea meditation and plant medicine, to honor and support women navigating the journey through perimenopause and womanhood.
My years of experience holding space for the feminine to realign with her divine power and purpose, while empowering her to thrive during the transitional phases of womanhood dates back to the rich legacy of our Matriarch, Grandma Modestine, of the elders and of medicine women who have gone on before us.
Modestine® stands on the sentiments of our Matriarch…Grandma Modestine.
As a wise medicine woman and elder of her community, Grandma Modestine taught women the rich practices of her ancestors. She facilitated healing through the power of collective energy.
Armed with the medicine of her ancestors, Grandma Modestine centered women’s wellness by harnessing the healing magic of rituals, sacred ceremonies, tea meditations and unique women’s circles. Community was the cornerstone of her healing remedies.
As the founder, I follow the same blueprint, having been immersed in ancestral healing practices at a very young age. As a tea sommelier, I live in service to my roots and my sacred feminine blood line.
Our stories are Medicine for each other’s healing.
When we share them with each other, we activate the transforming power of life-long relationships.

My grandma. She taught me many things about ancestral medicine. I always wished I paid more attention, so I'd love to receive the opportunities, again.
