Cultivating Healing Self Love Practices

Many of us are doing the best we can in this new reality of Zoom meetings, mask wearing, and juggling multiple priorities, all while trying to feel some semblance of normalcy. Taking a moment to breathe and relax often feels luxurious, but if the last year or so has taught us anything, it is hustle culture depletes, intentional soul care restores.  Let’s reject those old narratives that slowing down is slacking off, say it with me: pausing is an act of deep self-love.

Solange reminds us:“Self-love is really a foundation for everything, and however you practice or express that is so, so important.” As we head into Valentine’s Day, we’re sharing the benefits of sitting in a quiet meditation with The Queen Candle, created by Marielle, founder of Spiritualista Beautique (part of our Zen Tea Ritual Box), and sipping a cup of our healing tea blend, Queendom Reign.

As Marielle shared with me recently: “The Queen candle embodies the Essence of Growth and Nurturing. She was created to promote self love, ease and harmony. When  you're sitting in stillness - in devotion to Self and the Divine - she ushers you to your Inner Sanctuary. When you feel your power and beauty, you will want to embody that energy every day... Because she's so nurturing, she will assist you in that process as well. I recommend the Queen candle to every woman who wants to live from the inside out.”

When we take time to pour more into ourselves - especially as women - there is space for the kind of expansive self love which elevates our consciousness and radiates out to all who surround us. Our Queendom Reign tea is a great addition to your daily self-love practice because it uplifts harmony with the mind, body and spirit, and facilities transformative soul care.

Here are three ways sipping this tea mindfully, on a regular basis, can support your wellness journey:

Helps You Ease Into an Evening Routine: Most of us are firmly entrenched in virtual worlds for work and even entertainment (as it’s not safe to be in large crowds). This affects our boundaries, and we must be intentional about creating sacred space in the evening to replenish the mind. The act of sipping tea is meditative and helps us to more firmly connect to the present moment and disconnect from the flurry of emails and direct messages on social media, helping us to awaken restored instead of depleted.

Soothes Discomfort: As women, we deal with an array of health-related issues such as PMS, cramps, nausea, headaches, and peri/menopause. Queendom Reign contains Tulsi, an adaptogenic herb that helps balance hormones. Other comforting ingredients include chamomile, saffron, ginger root, fennel seeds, rose buds, spearmint, rose hips, lemon grass, tulsi, natural orange flavor.

Holistic Relaxation: Mind and body are deeply connected; we cannot have holistic relaxation until both enter into a state of deep calm. The practice of sipping tea brings us into communion with our whole selves, and makes the move from mindless consumption to thoughtful ingestion possible; this is commitment to radical self-care and love.

You are worthy, beloveds, of pausing and loving yourself deeply. Setting aside time, daily, for healing rituals is a beautiful way to honor the many facets of you, and vibrate higher.

As you go about your day, allow the challenging words of Rumi to push you towards a deeper awakening:

Your heart is the size of an ocean. Go find yourself in its hidden depths.”
